Derco USA has a long history of working with companies on the design and manufacture of custom conveyor belting for specific applications. Below are just a few of our success stories:

Agricultural Industry:

A large manufacturer in the agricultural industry informed Derco that they were seeking to improve upon their current belts for a cotton application.

Derco helped provide input and worked with the company and distributor on a new profile and belt design.

The new belt reduced the chance of a field failure so that their end users experience less downtime during the critical harvesting season windows.

OEMs:

Derco has collaborated with several O.E.M’s from around the country on the design and fabrication of custom belting for specific industries and applications, such as potato, radish, and walnut harvesting.

After meeting with the O.E.M’s and giving demonstrations of our custom belting fabrication capabilities, we now regularly partner with them to provide expertise on existing and new belt design that help improve product yields and overall product quality.

Custom Fabrication:

In addition to design collaboration, Derco has also been approached by a company that had an existing design print but could find no one with the fabrication capabilities in the U.S. to manufacture their design.

After seeking us out and informing us that we were their last resort, Derco created a way to engineer the belt according to the desired specifications.

The machine and belt have since been in service over 5 years in what has been a very successful partnership.

Tobacco Industry:

In addition to our line of lightweight belting, Derco carries the well known and successful Fabreeka Tobacco line of conveyor belts and regularly works with companies and distributors in the Tobacco Industry on belt design.

We were approached by a company that ran several lines and had to carry a wide range of different belt types to support each line.

Derco designed custom belts and profiles that offered no carry back of product, is self-cleaning, with little to no noise or vibration.

This enabled our customer to decrease the number of belt types they had to stock from over 7 to just 2 while dramatically reducing the amount of product wasted, lowering costs and making inventory control easier.
